Wrapping up Controls in ASP.NET

I was thinking lately, that if you really want to get the most out of ASP.NET controls, the best approach is to create wrappers for them.

ie. SGTextBox : TextBox

Let’s say you have to change the styles of the controls across your application…well, if you have wrapped the controls up, you are going to have one place to goto.

Even if the control doesn’t have an immediate need to be ‘wrapped’ – do it anway.

Visual Studio makes it very easy to inherit the controls and add them to the designer toolbox.

Just a tip…
